Coverage Reports

Press coverage tracked and delivered to clients automatically.

RunPR monitors RSS feeds, Google News, and GDELT in parallel, deduplicates wire pickups under the strongest outlet, filters irrelevant mentions, and delivers a white-label report your client can open in a browser or print to PDF. Refreshed weekly, emailed from your agency name.

How it works

From discovery to client inbox in seven steps.

Step 01

Discover

Three sources run in parallel: your active RSS news monitors, Google News, and the GDELT global news index. Each source runs independently so a single slow request never delays the others.

  • RSS monitors tied to the client Account you configure
  • Google News for broad editorial coverage
  • GDELT for wire service and international pickups
Step 02

Deduplicate

Wire pickups and syndicated copies are grouped under the strongest primary: the highest outlet tier wins, with the earliest publish date as a tiebreaker. Your client sees one clean article, not twelve copies of the same story.

  • Normalized title matching catches headline variations
  • Highest outlet tier (platinum, gold, silver, bronze) wins primary status
  • Syndicated copies grouped underneath, still visible in the count
Step 03

Filter

An LLM relevance gate runs against titles and snippets before any full-text scraping starts. Only articles that genuinely cover the client move forward, keeping irrelevant brand mentions out of the final report.

  • Batched relevance checks run pre-scrape to save time
  • Confident negatives are dropped early
  • Manual adds skip the gate so you stay in control
Step 04

Classify

Scraped full text feeds into classification: article type (feature, news, mention, review, or opinion), sentiment (positive, neutral, or negative), and outlet tier. Every dimension is stored so you can filter and sort in the dashboard.

  • Article types: feature, news, mention, review, opinion
  • Outlet tiers: platinum, gold, silver, bronze
  • Sentiment per article with manual override support
Step 05

Estimate reach

Reach is always a range, not a fake-precise number. The model uses curated monthly-visit anchors for major outlets, Cloudflare Radar ranks for mid-tier domains, and tier-based fallbacks for everything else. Tier-default bands are deliberately wide to be honest about uncertainty.

  • Curated anchors for major outlets (Reuters, TechCrunch, Bloomberg, and more)
  • Cloudflare Radar rank for mid-tier domains
  • Wide low-to-high bands for unknowns so the number is honest
Step 06

Screenshot and share

Article screenshots are captured and stored with the report. The client receives a white-label share link they can open in a browser or print to PDF. Your agency name and branding appear throughout.

  • Screenshots captured per article and stored with the report
  • White-label public share link at a permanent URL
  • PDF export for clients who need a static deliverable
Step 07

Refresh and deliver

Live share links stay current automatically: any report with sharing enabled is refreshed every 7 days so the client link never shows stale data. Reports on a weekly or monthly email schedule get a fresh pipeline run before each send, then the branded email goes out from your agency name.

  • Auto-refresh every 7 days for all reports with sharing enabled
  • Scheduled email (weekly or monthly) triggers a fresh pipeline run first
  • Email sent from your agency name, not RunPR
What you get

Everything a client-facing coverage report needs.

Three discovery sources

RSS monitors, Google News, and GDELT run in parallel so no single source is the ceiling on what gets found.

Syndication grouping

Wire pickups and copies are nested under the primary, so the article count reflects unique editorial placements.

LLM relevance gate

Pre-scrape filtering removes irrelevant mentions before they slow down the pipeline or pollute the report.

Outlet tier ranking

Platinum, gold, silver, and bronze tiers let you sort and filter by outlet weight as well as date.

Honest reach ranges

Low-to-high reach bands based on real audience data, with methodology stored on every article.

Article screenshots

Screenshots captured per article, stored with the report, and included in the client share link and PDF export.

White-label share link

A permanent public URL with your agency branding. The client can open it any time, share it, or print to PDF.

Scheduled client emails

Weekly or monthly emails branded to your agency, sent automatically after a fresh pipeline run completes.
